So it’s summer vacation, right? This season is supposed to be refreshing and relaxing and uplifting, RIGHT?
Maybe that’s your story, & I hope it is, but it’s not mine. At least it wasn’t for the first month or so.
The first half of my summer was all work and no play. I was lonely, bored, and I desperately craved adventure. It wasn’t that I didn’t have people to see, but I didn’t have the same type of community that I had gotten used to at college.
This is a natural transition when coming home from college for the first time, but I just didn’t know how to adjust. So what did I do about it?
Well, sweet friends, I decided to make the trip from my small town in Pennsylvania to visit Victoria, my BBF (best blogger friend), in Raleigh, North Carolina.
& long story short, this trip was exactly the refreshment I was looking for! There were no expectations, no responsibilities, only two friends who love coffee dates, Jesus talks, and organic fruits.
Side Note: I love knowing & working with Victoria because she is so pure in knowing who she is & she loves everyone just for who they are. There’s no fear in her that would hold her back from getting to know another’s heart. A true inspiration.
So anyway, I wanted to give you guys a little peak into our mini vacay to let you know what we’ve been up to! The weekend was short lived, but so necessary. We of course did more than the few hours shown here, but we know that real conversations come when the phones are away (;
(please excuse my amateur photography skills)
Raleigh Raw started us off right with Kombucha on tap
One of my favorite things is walking around a new city, so that’s exactly what we did
We finished our mini adventure at Sir Walter Coffee with some trendy matcha…
… and some blog planning (aka doodling)
Until next time, Raleigh!
